First, you need to know that I do not follow this blog. I read a few entries one time and some of the comments because Brad said I should see what Megan wrote, but other than that, I have nothing to do with it but provide subject material. ;-) I don't even know when the 'authors' make entries.
Of course, if I did have anything to do with it, there would be very few postings and they would be far apart. And I would have left a lot of it out.
I'm proud of my girls for doing this as it was the best way possible in the beginning to keep everyone informed, but I feel quite guilty for having them, including Brad, tell my story when I'm perfectly capable of telling it myself. So I felt compelled to weigh in here.
I have been surprised (amazed is more like it) at all the dear people who care about this story and the touching hopes and prayers that are offered on my behalf. I can't tell you what a huge uplift all of you have given me. I appreciate your love and concern.
And I'm doing great. There's no need to worry about me. I haven't read it, but I understand that Brad posted about my hand. I wouldn't have mentioned that because it's such a minor thing (and I don't want to sound like Job.) The minor surgery tomorrow will completely fix my hand and I'll be home in the early afternoon. I'm not in the least worried about anything.
The chemo is going very well and I have not come even close to feeling bad. I know that things may get a bit worse as the effects accumulate, but I can't believe they will get a lot worse. I'm in very good spirits and was just going to take up golf again. That has been delayed a bit, but nothing is keeping me from tennis if I choose to play. And I have a home-building to plan, which is an exciting project for me. I'm a happy camper.
So I 'post' my love to all of you and just may take over this blog so I can control it!
Love,
Carla, using Brad's email address since I'm not an invited author, hmph.

Hi Carla!!
So glad you are doing well.
That is a great picture of you!!
It looks like from your post you are building a new home? Maybe I could help decorate it like I did in the house on Pasir Ridge!! That was fun!!
I'm so glad you are doing so well with your treatments! Keep up the good work!

Dearest Carla,
So glad to hear you are in such good spirits. And you have such a loving and supportive family right there with you. I miss you much and send so much love your way. I pray that the remaining treatments will go well and that you CAN go play tennis if you want to!!!
Much love,
Diana
