Listening to John Mayer's "Heart of Life" this week seemed to speak straight into our situation:
I hate to see you cry
Lying there in that position
There's things you need to hear
So turn off your tears and listen
Pain throws your heart to the ground
Love turns the whole thing around
No, it won't all go the way it should
But I know the heart of life is good
You know it's nothing new
Bad news never had good timing
Then the circle of your friends
Will defend the silver lining
Pain throws your heart to the ground
Love turns the whole thing around
No, it won't all go the way it should
But I know the heart of life is good
I am so thankful for the circle of our friends who provide the silver lining in every difficult situation. We are so blessed.
PS, I'm sure the updates on this blog will slow down for a bit, but you can rest assured that no news is good news. We are awaiting Mom's doctor's appointment on November 24th to get the complete prognosis and chemo plan. I'm excited to see Mom this weekend! I haven't gotten to see her since she returned home and I am so looking forward to seeing her there with my own eyes. God is good.
