Mom is still holding steady breathing on the BiPAP (oxygen mask).  She is not awake or alert, although occasionally she opens her eyes and looks like she's trying to communicate.  Mostly she seems to be sleeping soundly, which Dad says is a good thing because she had a very restless night.  Aunt Teri has been wonderful, talking to Mom and praying with her to encourage her.  She has such a heart for this.  The rest of us just sort of stand around staring and trying not to cry, or just giving in and crying anyway, or distract ourselves with something like updating the blog or checking email.

Dr Lee stopped by this afternoon with what seemed like the sole purpose of encouraging us.  She didn't give us any new information but let us know that, although this is a setback, it is not unheard of for a patient who has been through what Mom has been through.  She encouraged us that Mom is strong and will get through it.

"We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express." Romans 8:26
