Specific Prayer Requests

I stayed overnight with Carla, and she had a fairly good night, sleeping mostly, but waking up for ice, water, etc. She was not in any pain.
Please pray for these needs for today:
*blood pressure.....it's been going up to 190/120 and they're giving her a few CCs of medication in the IV that brings it down to a good level within 5 minutes......but then it goes up within 6 hours again...
*lungs....she doesn't have the lung capacity that she should.....she doesn't have the volume or force to cough like she should
*kidneys....they are concerned because she didn't have much output during the course of the night.....they're doing blood and urine tests to check on the kidneys.....didn't say if they were going to repeat the ultrasound
*swelling...her legs, abdomen, and right arm seem to be swollen and retaining fluid
Sorry to be so "straight to the point", but I just want us all to be praying for these specific things today. I prayed with her before I left.
We did have some fun this morning, brushing teeth and doing some grooming at 5:00.
Thank you everyone for lifting up these needs to our Lord!
"I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth"
Love,
Teri

Teri,
We are praying for your sweet sister, Carla, and her family. What a wonderful, incredible support system she has in her family! This says how many people love her and what kind of person she is! Thank you for the updates so that we might know exactly how to pray for her. And even when we don't, we know that God knows and the Spirit Himself is interceding for us and for her.
Much love,
Ellen

Hey all you caretakers, ask the staff for a Incentive spirometer and ask them how to use it. It is a good practice and may help with lung capacity.

thanks, melissa......we have one in the room, and she tries so hard to get it to 1500!.....it is a good visual way to see lung capacity..... I know she'll improve and make it up to 1500 soon!
